A downloadable tool

This is a SAMMI button + software that generates a cute little TTS for your stream. It makes a sound file based on each message and plays them in order. There are various voice options to choose from, and you can even make your own!

Q & A:

  • Can this TTS read ANY text?:
    • This tool can read any English letter + ñ. If it finds a character it doesn't understand, then it will choose a random letter to replace it.
  • What does the "Choose Your Villager" button do?
    • This button allows your chatters to choose there voices. The default options are: "verylow, low, medium, high, penguin."
  • It spends too much / too little time reading out each message for my taste. How can I fix that?
    • In settings.txt you can edit the Max Characters that can be read.
  • It reads EVERY message and that's just too much. Can I make this a redeem?
    • Sure thing! Here's how you do that:
      • ① Right click the "Chat" Button and select "Edit Triggers"
      • ② Delete the "Twitch Chat Message" Trigger
      • ③ Add a "Twitch Channel Point Redemption," Click Load From Twitch API, and Select your redeem
      • ④ Click "User Input Required" (Make sure your redeem has the message mandatory too!)
  • The audio is WAY TOO LOUD or way too quiet, how do I fix it?
    • Near the end of the button's code is a Volume Dial attached to a "Play Sound Effect" command. You can just change that dial :)

Install instructions

Installation Instructions:

① Download This ZIP File

② In the file, there are two JSONs. You should be able to copy and paste those directly into a SAMMI board.

③ Put the rest of the files inside of your SAMMI directory.

④ Go into both buttons, and follow the directions at the top. It's as simple as just pasting the directory of the files that it needs to use.

⑤ Don't forget to change the trigger of CHOOSE YOUR VILLAGER to whatever you want. I recommend making a redeem in your Twitch channel.

⑥ After that it should work, it might have an issue for a message or two but mostly working fine
